You've Got Questions... We've Got Answers!

Why Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)

Unlike traditional online advertising like buying banner ad space, pay per click means you pay upon an action - someone interested in your service or product does a keyword search on Google®, then clicks on your ad to visit your site. This is targeted traffic. PPC advertising offers a variety of methods to refine that traffic even further. The effectiveness of this is proven by the billions spent by advertisers every year. And, if they don’t click on your ad, you don’t get charged! You can literally have your ad shown hundreds of thousands of times and not pay a penny.

When do my ads start running?

We can launch your pay per click ad campaign as soon as your web site is up and running. If you already have a web site, your ads will appear immediately, or at least after a payment is made. Not only that, your ads can appear among the top of many listings almost instantly.

Where will my ads appear?

Your ads may appear anywhere you desire, the top of Google run search engines, the right side of search results, certain web sites with hundreds of thousands to choose from, Google shopping, and if needed, content network sites. This is just a sample of the possibilities.

How do my ads get ranked higher in the search engines?

In the past, all you had to do to get listed higher in the search engine rankings was to simply bid more for certain keywords. Nowadays, getting listed at the top of search engine results does not necessarily go to the highest bidder. Ads are listed by bid rate, click through rate and a good quality score. Google wants people to find what they are looking for quickly and effectively, so you want to be very precise when designing ads so you can raise your quality score.

How much does PPC advertising cost?

We work with you to set a daily, weekly or monthly budget that works for your business. We will help you determine your return on investment (ROI), cost per action and earnings per click. Armed with that information, we can determine the amount you're willing to pay each time your ad is clicked on and you pay only when it gets clicked. In some cases, your clicks may only cost 5 or 10 cents and if you only want to spend $1.00 per day, then your ad will get clicked on 10 to 20 times and stop running until the next day. You can stop displaying your ads at any time.

What if a competitor clicks on my ads over and over?

While this was a major concern years ago, it is no longer a problem. Google has protections in place to detect activity like competitors clicking on your ads, robots clicking on ads etc.. They want you to get results, so they have technology in place to prevent those kinds of charges. Click on an ad over and over again and it triggers these protections. You won't see the charges on your bill.

No. Technically, advertising on Google is free. Google does charge a one time activation fee of $10.00 though, and it’s entirely possible to get $50 or $100 of Google Adwords credit for new advertisers.
